Sexting And Teens
“Sexting & Teens” is the essay chose and the media text is an image about “sexting”. The thematic connection between the essay and the image is that sexting results to serious consequences. The essay talks about teens that are sexting each other. The image shows that sexting is very serious and is a federal crime in at least nine states. In the essay, teens harass others over the phone by sending sexual pictures. In the image, it showed that the issue “sexting” was on the news because people felt that this is a serious offence. They are talking about how sexting is an offence. You know a situation is serious when it is on the news. In the essay, when a teen send s a sexual photo of them to another teen, the other person is able to send that picture to everyone they know. Then by the next day, the photo is leaked to everyone and the teen in the picture will be greatly embarrassed and harassed at school. In the image, it looks like they are taking sexting very seriously because it can be similar to child pornography. I believe that sexting is wrong because it can get out of hand and someone can lose their privacy. Sexting can be also be dangerous because there can be rapist and pedophiles preying on teens. In conclusion, sexting is a serious issue, and should be further discussed with the authorities.
